How to make sure that splitters maintain a minimum width?

i noticed that when I added children into a splitter, i can resize the splitter so that the children can completely disappear. you can also see this here. is there any way to counteract that?

So there is a min width property, but its a little bugged currently and so you may get odd results, its on my list to fix (it used to work, but i broke it somehow - someone else has also noticed this)
